Veterinary Technician
Megan, a very dedicated Veterinary Assistant joined our team in May of 2024. Megan's journey in the veterinary field began at Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC), where she graduated with a degree in Veterinary Technology. She passed her Veterinary Technician National Exam in August of 2024 which granted her RVT (Registered Veterinary Technician) credentials.
Originally from the sunny landscapes of New Mexico, Megan made the move to Iowa in 2018. Her passion for animal welfare and desire to make a tangible difference in their lives led her to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. At Family Pet Veterinary Center, Megan finds fulfillment in providing the best quality care to our beloved furry companions. She believes in the importance of collaboration in the veterinary field and cherishes the opportunity to work alongside like-minded individuals who share her dedication. For Megan, the allure of the veterinary profession lies in its perpetual evolution. When she's not busy caring for our patients, Megan enjoys gardening, playing video games, creating digital art and snuggling with her lovely cats and adorable dog. Megan is a great example of where passion meets expertise in the service of our furry friends! Her advice to any new pet parent is to focus on training and socialization, while maintaining a great level of patience.
